It seems as though Mother’s Day has totally snuck up on me this year. Could it be because my mom’s birthday is only 10 days before? A big reason most people like me may be struggling to find “last minute” Mother’s Day gifts is probably because of the Covid-19 outbreak throughout the US – let alone, the world- and this 6 week (so far) quarantine has got us all sorts of messed up.
While many of us have lost our jobs or the lucky ones started to #WorkFromHome, now is the time to support small and local businesses that are still up and running. So here is a short list of those businesses I know & trust, to shop for Mother’s Day gifts. PS: These are women owned, so even more of a reason to shop small and support during these times.

Although this year we may be celebrating a little different, just know that your mom will love and appreciate whatever it is that you gift her on Mother’s Day. Here are a few FREE things you can do for your mom just to make her feel a little extra special:
1. Cook her a meal with what you have at home (breakfast in bed, make her favorite coffee, whip up her favorite dinner, etc.), 2. Spend some quality time with her binge watching her favorite shows or movies (without distractions), 3. Write her a letter of all the reasons why she is an amazing mom or little notes reminding her of some of your favorite memories together.
